A Slothtrop Christmas
Slothtrop Records first ever Christmas CD featuring ten artists doing ten holiday themed tunes. The album has its share of happy music, and even has some nauseatingly sweet tunes. However, some songs in this collection invoke darker moods, moods usually referred to only in talk shows: "All I got for Christmas" does its best to fight the Christmas Blues the singer seems to be suffering, "Bethlehem" talks about loneliness, enuii and fading dreams while retelling the Joseph and Mary story in modern terms. Some Christmas classics lift the mood of the release in a good way, as they're done straight without being nauseatingly so, kind of like Christmas with the Family. We hope you enjoy our little record and have a great holiday season!
